Who Are We?

We are the Iron Order Motorcycle Club. We are in nearly every state in the US and many foreign countries and we are 15 Years stronger as of July 2019. The Iron Order Motorcycle Club originated in Jeffersonville, IN on July 4, 2004 by 8 strong willed men seeking a Brotherhood that only a Motorcycle Club can provide. These bikers came from different backgrounds and walks of life. They had a desire to share Brotherhood and socialize together as a group of men sharing a like mindset with the iron resolve to have a club of their own that would be under no one’s control or direction. It is fitting that our club anniversary is celebrated on the same day as our great country’s Independence Day.

In April 2005, the IOMC opened its first Mother Chapter clubhouse in Louisville, KY. By late 2005, the IOMC had grown to 6 chapters, (Louisville, KY; Atlanta, GA; Columbus, IN; Cincinnati, OH; Washington, D.C.; and West Palm Beach, FL) and the IOMC has been growing steadily since.

We have learned many things about the MC world and ourselves since our inception. We realize that we are not perfect, and we do not claim to be. We make no apologies for who we are and what we believe in. We respect all clubs and support those that support us. We are an independent and neutral Motorcycle Club, and we mind our own business. We started that way and we will continue that way. We run our club by the very same MC traditions established over 50 years ago by motorcycle clubs. We are not a 1% MC, nor are we a riding club and we are not a HOG chapter. We are a three-piece patch Motorcycle Club. We have a strong Brotherhood between all our charters. Our Brotherhood is like a family.

The IOMC is completely independent and bound to no one. We follow our own destiny, truly free from all other’s rules and protocols. We refuse to be dictated by anyone; who we have as members; where we can have chapters; what we can wear; where we can go; or what we can do. That is how the IOMC was started, how it is today and the way it will be in the future. This is the heritage of the IOMC.

Our Charter was founded in Owatonna Minnesota in May of 2017. We are the “Steele County Crew” of the Iron Order Motorcycle Club. We have a strong bond and are only growing stronger.

We are Brothers. A Brother of the IOMC is someone who Places a Brother’s Needs Before His Own Wants, better known by us as My Brother Before Me. He is a chosen family member who we respect and love. We come from all walks of life and every profession. We do not care what a man does for a living, as long as it is an honest living. We do not care about the color of a man’s skin; it is what is in his heart that matters. We Ride, we party, we laugh, we grieve, we take care of our Brothers, Maidens, and families, and we still have time to take care of those in our communities that need our help. Charters of the Iron Order MC are all nonprofit organizations that host and participate in charity events throughout the year for the good of our communities and for the good of individuals in need. If you read our guestbook, you’ll see countless entries of citizens, business owners, and supporters who have witnessed the generosity and giving of time the IOMC has had a part in sharing. We are sometimes in the local news for these events and at other times, only the recipients know. We don’t do it for headlines – we do it because it’s the right thing to do.

We are Bikers. A Biker is not simply someone who rides a motorcycle but rather, someone who lives a lifestyle. Someone who can’t get enough of being in the wind and exploring the miles on two wheels rather than being confined to a cage. Someone who’s thinking about and caring for his Brothers every day of his life. And someone who has that innate desire for true American Freedom granted us by our Forefathers and the Constitution of the United States to go where we want, gather with whom we want and where we want, and dress how we want. We Respect every other citizen and their right to make the choices of what club they belong to and what colors they wear and, without fear or apology. And yes, there are times we have a run-in with someone who doesn’t give us that same respect but that’s life in America, where there are good people and bad people, but we will always do the right thing and take the high road.

So that’s a small start of a conversation of Who We Are. We are what we say we are, nothing more and nothing less. If you are law abiding, desire strong Brotherhood and believe riding a motorcycle is not a solo event, maybe we are for you. Simply read everything on our main website and on our charter’s websites. If you are looking for something other than what we stand for, then we are not for you and you should look elsewhere. So, if you see us out, come over and say hello, and decide for yourself what the IOMC is and if we are for you. If you’re missing something in your life, own a bike, and wish to get to know us better because you may be interested in Brotherhood for yourself. Hang around and get to know us better. Who Are We?
